As what everyone has already advised. Do what a Best friend can do. Offer a
shoulder for her to pour her sorrows on and listen to make them feel less
troubled. It is not your fault or your responsibility to manage your friend's
life anyway, so don't feel troubled by the part whereby you will feel guilt for
been a bad friend or whatsoever. In the end, it's all up to the person to make
the choice. Not you. So stop feeling the guilt. Your Friend needs a slap on the
face to stop tormenting herself with those "ghosts of the past, regrets etc
etc" thingy and all.
Of course you can do something. Live by example. Keep her in contact Daily till
Monday. Make her feel understood that you feel her pain and misery. Try on your
side of the phoneline to make your friend realize the times you and her as good

After that grueling quest, one in particular still doesn't realise the point.

self to others in world we live in. And that character will inherit some things
we want our hero/heroine to behave like.
